Getting started
Which pets can I add?
Dogs, cats, rabbits and other pets. The Free plan includes 1 pet, Premium up to 3, and Premium+ unlimited pets.
Is Boop available on Android or iPad?
Boop is made for iPhone. We don't have an Android app yet.
Does Boop work without signal?
Yes. Everything works offline, and your changes sync when you're back online.
Is Boop veterinary advice?
No. Boop helps you organise care, but it does not diagnose or treat any condition. Always ask your vet about your pet's health, and contact a vet straight away in an emergency.
Reminders and calendar
I'm not getting reminders
Reminders need notifications to be turned on for Boop.
- Open iPhone Settings › Notifications › Boop Pet Care and turn on Allow Notifications.
- Check that a Focus mode isn't silencing Boop.
- In Boop, open the event and check it has a reminder set. Each event can have up to two.
Reminders rely on your iPhone and Apple's notification service, so they can occasionally arrive late.
What happens when I miss a task?
Overdue tasks stay at the top of today's list until you tick them off, snooze or skip them. The schedule carries on from there.
Can I see Boop events in my iPhone calendar?
Yes, with Premium. Calendar sync adds a one-way copy of your pets' events to your iPhone calendar. Changes made there don't come back to Boop.
Sharing with your household
How do I invite someone?
Open Account › Household and share an invite link or a 6-character code. Sharing is part of Premium, and one subscription covers every member of your household.
Who can see my pets' information?
Only the people in your household. There is no public profile, chat or social feed. Members can see and edit the household's shared pets, events, records and costs.
Why did a reminder disappear?
Someone in your household ticked the task off. Boop clears the reminder for everyone and shows who did it, for example “Done by Anna at 08:12”, which helps avoid giving the same dose twice.
Plans and billing
How do I upgrade?
Open Account › Subscription and choose Premium or Premium+. The yearly Premium plan starts with a 7-day free trial if you haven't used it before.
How do I cancel?
Open Account › Subscription › Manage in Boop, or iPhone Settings › your name › Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period. You keep Premium until the end of the period you've paid for.
I changed phones and lost Premium
Sign in with the same Boop account, then tap Restore purchases in Account › Subscription. Make sure the iPhone uses the Apple Account you subscribed with.
How do I get a refund?
Subscriptions are sold by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Account and your data
I forgot my password
On the sign-in screen, choose Continue with email and use the password reset option. We'll email you a link. If you signed up with Sign in with Apple, you don't have a Boop password: just sign in with Apple again.
How do I export my data?
Open Account › Data and privacy › Export data. You'll get a copy of everything you've added.
How do I delete my account?
Open Account › Data and privacy › Delete account. Your account and data are erased after 30 days; signing in again before then cancels the deletion. If you own a household with other members, transfer ownership first. If you have a subscription, cancel it in your App Store settings too, because deleting your account doesn't stop Apple's billing.
Where is my data stored?
Our servers are in London, United Kingdom, and your records, documents and photos are stored in Ireland. We don't show ads or sell your data. The Privacy Policy has the details.
